Haven't tried either brand but I have had no luck with baby video mitrnoos at all. After buying the best one, according to the reviews I found online, it was horrible picture barely reached between rooms and the sound was so bad I had to use a separate audio monitor along with it. After about 2 nights of this horrible quality my husband when out and found a cheap security camera with night vision and bought it an brought it home to me. Wonderful picture, sound and you can hook it to any TV and turn on when you want to see them or keep on all the time. My recommendation is to not buy a baby video monitor and just spend your money on a security camera.
if you are using windows seevrr you can enable the smtp seevrr  in xp i'm not sure . then you will need to create an MX (Mail Exchanger) record in a world dns seevrr (that's why you maybe need a domain) that if you want to receive mail from outside your network, if that's not the case just using telnet on port 25 or some other app you will do fine to send mail.. from ant to your network
