:too late, i activated it and have had only 1 problem, couldn't open the super user CCC. Easy fix though, i edited the normal CCC command to run 'gksu amdcccle' instead of just 'amdcccle'. So works for me at least (AM3 Phenom II, 2 sticks Crucial ram, gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, VisionTek 4870x2) [[Special:Contributions/137.244.215.55|137.244.215.55]] 05:54, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Restricted Drivers

Has anyone tried installing drivers from the restricted driver window with 9.10? I couldn't on 9.04 (4870x2) and ended up downloading ati drivers from amd's website and installing those separately. When i upgraded to 9.10 there was some sort of conflict and ubuntu ran as if it was Windows without display drivers. I wiped and installed 9.10 alone (no upgrade this time) and its MUCH smoother but i still havent activated drivers - is it safe to restricted window now, or should i use the old method? 137.244.215.55 16:48, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
