I got errors complaining that some packages (correct terminology?) were not found on MythBuntu 7.10 <br />
<br />
I had to run:<br />

PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkgconfig/<br />
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH<br />
<br />
before it configured correctly. That in the Installation -> Bulding section between commands:<br />

export XORG_PREFIX="/usr"<br />
<br />
and<br />
<br />
export XORG_CONFIG="--prefix=$XORG_PREFIX --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var" ./configure $XORG_CONFIG --with-xorg-module-dir=$XORG_PREFIX/lib/xorg/modules<br />
