Reported problems with Slackware 12.0, solvable hand-compiling a new kernel image &amp;amp; modules.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ensure that drm is not loaded, blacklist it. I think it&#039;s also better to blacklist the open source driver. The ATI drivers seem to have their own direct rendering manager.&lt;br /&gt;

With the above you normally do not have to reboot the computer after install, just restart the X.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
