&lt;div&gt;12.4 Drivers fail due to not supporting the version of Xorg released with Fedora 17 - buy nvidia, I wish I had.  I&#039;ve tried using my 6870 with fedora 16 and 17 and have never been able to get the official driver to work.  At the moment after installing in fedora 17 I get a segmentation fault.  Why aren&#039;t later versions of Xorg supported? why isn&#039;t amds linux support as good as nvidias?&lt;br /&gt;
