BCBG Max Azria has a unique fashion combination of European and American Style. BCBG is an acronym for the French "Bon Chic, Bon Genre," with an English meaning of "Good Style, Good Attitude." He originally came from Tunisia, Azria then moved to Paris when he was a teenager to finish his studies but ended up as a fashion designer. Later on he moved to United States and started making his own concept and selling his own French fashions to Hollywood before BCBG was launched in 1989. The Max Azria collection includes BCBGirls, BCBG Attitude, To the Max, Parallel and Herve Leger Label. His concept is truly unique, trendy and sophisticated that's why it became popular in California and later to the international arena.

His famous collections includes different styles of women's clothing as he tries to create a new image for real women by making each design suitable for different seasons. Fashion analysts describes his designs as "playful, textural and focused on bright designs."

Famous for his dark colored collection, BCBG Max Azria changed his concept and introduced "light colored sheer dresses." The recent Spring/Summer Collection 2008 is more feminine and flowing. It is highly composed of airy organza, sheer tulle, bustier layer with dress and tied belts. All dresses are below the knee and looks more casual to wear, it seems like these dresses are floating while models strut in the catwalk.
